Happy New Year!
trip to UK was wonderful. the week and a half flew by. most of it was spent up in northern UK("northumberlnad. Phil's parents and brother live in the town he grew up in: Ponteland. A quaint small town. had a lovely xmas day there with phil's family who made me feel very welcome. the day after christmas phil and i drove about an hour NW to Holy Island for an overnite at a B&B. we met up w/ our friends aisha and gus there too-who came down from scotland bc they were going to ponteland (where gus grew up too) to visit w/ his grandmother. Holy Island is very remote and you can only enter it via a causeway when the tide is low. it's very historic as it's supposed to be the first place where christianity entered the UK. on our way back the next day all 4 of us stopped at a small seaside town:Craster and walked up to a castle: Dunstanburgh. it was a very brisk and chilly seaside walk to the castle.
spent NYE in London. phil and i had a nice quiet dinner at his place that he made. and we went around the corner to his friend's party to bring in the new year. see photos below. *if you want to see more--email me and i will email you the albums i have posted on shutterfly.
all in all a wonderful trip and more great times with phil.
stay tuned...
