old crow medicine show
went to see a band tonite on nettwerk: old crow medicine show. i've worked with them for several months now and are some really nice, hard-working guys from nashville, tenn. they play americana, bluegrass type music. was great to see them. hadn't seen them since i spent a few days with them in april. their cd has been doing quite well since it came out in march. they have sold over 30,000 cds to date...and are still doing quite well. i am genuinely happy for them. they deserve every bit of success. my co-worker/friend liz went to the show with me. we had a nice time. she gave me shirt with ralph wiggum (my favorite simpsons character) on it. i thought that was really sweet and thoughtful.
after the show we went to her friend's bday party at a bar in wrigleyville. a few seconds after she & I walked into the bar a drunk guy fell off his barstool. i made a joke that he was so stunned by the "2 blondes that just walked into a bar". ha ha
after that we popped into a little corner quick mart shop that i know carries some of my favorite Cadbury Choc's from England. Stocked up on a few fav candy bars: Lion, Moro and tried a new one Star Bar. they are the best!!
