U2
their new album "how to dismantle an atomic bomb" came out right before thanksgiving. it is a great cd. reminiscent of their "unforgettable fire" & "joshua tree" days. amazing when you think about how long this band has been around and they still have it to make great records. after our burger stop the other night, my friend larry and i took a detour home to listen to the new cd and talk about it bc we both were so excited about it!
speaking of U2 being around for so long. i've been watching my Live Aid DVD (only the first DVD of 4) today--and the last band on the first disc is U2. 20 years later and i was still blown away by their performance. they did "sunday bloody sunday" and then "bad". when bono jumps down and gets that girl out of the audience and dances with her you can't help but get caught up in the moment of it all. even when i think about it, that performance was right around the unforgettable fire days (pre joshua tree).
bono, the edge, adam clayton and larry mullen jr. still got it! cheers to them!
