my life is a soundtrack

end of the game season

so my 2nd softball season ended about a month ago...but last night, most of the team gathered for one last time this year to raise a toast to "team blue". we played really well and really came together as a team. of course there were the ups & downs and frustrations...and when the season is coming to a close it can get a bit tense at times (remember: we are just playing for fun!?). but overall, i'm glad i do this every weds night throughout the summer. just a time to get out, clear your head, be around different people that you don't see at work. and just a friendly face to see that week and maybe throughout the year. go blue!

we had been trying to organize a "banquet" with awards and trophies...but that never really happened. it was hard enough to get about 60% of our team in one place at the same time. in celebration i made a cake that i decorated to look like a baseball field and had found these little baseball figurines for the cake. everyone loved it. as soon as i get my film developed--i'll post a photo.
