fashion show (morning...cock a doodle doo)
woke up i think before even i think a rooster would wake...6:15am to meet my friend melissa and go downtown to Nordstroms for a fashion/makeover show... we both agreed we were insane to be getting up to do something like this.
got there at 7:15 am and there were already about 50 people lined up...
got in around 8:45 and got our goodie box and continental breakfast...and settled into our seats for the show...was basically a huge plug for alot of "new & exciting" products and cosmetic companys bragging about what they have won "best ofs" for some of their products...they would give out random samples and some of the women were going crazy just for a tube of lipstick before 10am?! i think i just got a taste of what it would be like to be on oprah?!
afterwards we headed down to the main floor/cosmetics section where they had rows of chairs lined up. again, a few moments of mayhem for a free lipgloss from stila?!
we had some appts with a few companys...we got facials from Philosohy and Tony & Tina..and then makeovers by Urban Decay. This girl did an ok job with me--tried a new color on me w/ greens around my eyes. But then as i was waiting for Melissa to finish...i was sitting in another chair and this stylist asked if she could do a few things to me and i said "Sure". she did a few things i liked and am going to try out some of their new products (i know...sucka...but we'll see...SMILE!). was time to add a little change to my look...also got some analysis of our hair by a company called Phyto. They had some super-duper microscopic camera that she put on your head & scalp to see what you needed.
Finally got home around 3:00!? napped at 4:00...zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
and then went for a walk (4044 steps/ 1.531 mi)
Not sure what i'm up to tonight. Hoping to lay low since it's been a busy week and have plans the next 2 nights. May meet up with some friends for a beer or two and then call it a night.
NP: Garden State Soundtrack (this is wonderful...i still have to see the movie though)
