blessing(s)

today was the LAST chemo treatment for sweet dulli. we go back next week for some usual blood work and then follow up a month later to see how he's doing. but the vet said he's responded very well to the treatment and we've maintained a pretty good quality of life for him and he still doesn't feel the mass in the lower abdomen.

first, i was thinking on my drive home that i am very grateful & thankful of my great friends who have supported me through the past 7 mths. just their thoughts, concerns, shoulders, ears, etc...have helped me so much.

second, i am so grateful that i've had dulli for almost 9 years and feel lucky that we found each other. he's helped me in so many ways emotionally; that i'm glad i could help him out. he will forever be a blessing to me. earlier today i experienced the first time being home without him as he was at the vet...it was very strange and always felt his presence around. so i'm doing the best to enjoy his little pitter patter as long as i have him here.
