Flo & Rainbo
a windy fall day today(so much for a pretty fall-all the leaves are just blowing right off the trees)...did the usual sat am routine: gym (weightlifting class), coffee, make myself a nice brunch, clean...finished watching some tv shows i had taped bc i was out & about a few nights this week: America's Next Top Model & The Apprentice.
friends mark & linda were in town from SF for the weekend. my friend larry & i met up w/ them for dinner at a restaurant called Flo. i had eaten brunch there last fall and really liked it and have been wanting to go back for dinner. was a great pick considering it was the stupid Midwest "holiday": sweetest day too!!? and probably other restaurants would been packed. was perfect too bc we got a table right away and were able to just take our time and enjoy. i know linda from when i interned at WEA in 93. she and mark moved to SF 8 years ago and i see them from time to time. it's always nice to see them.
afterwards we went to try and meet up w/ another friend of larry's at a little art exhibit-but they had already left. we went around the corner to the Rainbo bar for a nightcap. since it was early this bar wasn't as packed as it gets with all the little indie rockers! we got a booth and finished the night. (not to mention i kicked larry's butt in Simpson's Pinball there too!! :)
