hockey season & cable
went over to my friend melissa's tonite and hung out w/ her and a few of her other friends and watched the game opener for the chicago hockey team The Wolves. we ordered some food and hung out. considering i know very little about hockey...enjoyed myself and the company. melissa & her friend paula are serious fans and have season tickets.
melissa had DVR (Digital Video Recorder)...which is basically like TIVO, but it's thru your cable co and they provide the box and you just pay $10/mth more for it. since i do record shows pretty often during the week...i was pretty interested in this feature. unfortunately comcast does not offer it in my area...yet. so, in the meantime...it's old skool VCR programming, taping & rewinding. ;) i just cancelled my HBO the other day...and i'm only saving $6/mth!?! but i was sick of having 10 HBO's and rarely there was ever on that i wanted to watch (and my girls: sex & the city are no more!??!)
