holla!
beautiful fall saturday in chicago...mild, sunny.
did the usual sat am routine...went to gym to go to my weightlifting class, sat outside at the cafe next door enjoying my cafe au laut (skim of course...i just worked out!?). then went back home and made a nice brunch and cleaned up around the homeplace.
met up w/ my friend ignacio later in the afternoon. he just moved here about a month ago from san antonio and worked for emi latin. he met me at my place and we walked up clark street in andersonville and sat outside and had a beer & burger at a restaurant there. he lives nearby and wanted to show him another nice little neighborhood spot that has some nice little shops & restaurants.
after that did a quick change and went to meet up w/ my friend james to see a band that he loves: lucero at the bottom lounge. james arranged to get me on the band's list (saving me $10). it was an early show and was over by 9:00. my friends beth & ollie had also come out to see the show. i tagged along w/ them to go to another bar: "california clipper" where a friend of theirs was celebrating her birthday. very cool bar/hang...but in a pretty sketchy part of town (bucktown/humboldt park).
NP: INXS Best Of DVD (RIP dear michael). what a trip down memory lane...inxs were one of my fave bands in the 80's.
