tom & john
tom mcrae (a nettwerk artist) was performing at metro tonight. he was opening for a chicago artist: rachael yamagata. i honestly don't think i've ever felt more upset by how rude a crowd was to a genuine performance by someone w/ talent. tom performed w/ a cello player and keyboardist and the crowd just kept on talking throughout his set. it was not like it was those usual "schmucks" by you at a show or the people at the back of the bar...this was everyone. unfortunately, it ruined my anticipation to see this artist who i genuinely like his new record. hopefully he will come back and i will have a chance to see him in a smaller more intimate setting. spoke w/ him afterwards and he was just chalking it up as another one of those nights, etc.
john kerry & geoge "dub-a-ya" bush had their first debate tonight. since i had to be at the show, i set the ole vcr. glad i did...several people watched it today at work and one friend wanted to borrow it bc her boyfriend wanted to see it. was a pretty amazing debate and was a bit nervous at first, but 15 minutes into it...my concerns were calmed. we can only hope and with that we have to vote!!! i am looking forward to the VP debate next week...
