hopes and fears
tonite i went and saw 2 of my "favorite" bands. the french kicks & keane. french kicks were a great opener and i absolutely love their new CD "trial of the century"...just fun garage, pop. great to listen to in the car.
saw keane headline a soldout show at the park west(hence the title of this blog entry is the title of their cd). pretty crazy for a relatively unknown band's 2nd time here without any major airplay. anyway, everyone there was treated to a fabulous show. the lead singer just has this amazing, powerful voice and sings these amazing, heartfelt lyrics. and to top it off...there are only 3 people in the band: singer, keyboardist & drummer. yep. no guitars, bass...but you don't miss it.
