tonight i went to see an emi/capitol band: yellowcard w/some friends at work. they had an extra ticket, it was right down the street, and nothing else was going on...so i tagged along. Liz met me at my place and i mixed up some cosmopolitan's and we walked over to the show. it was at the Riv and sold out and packed w/ kids...oh yeah, for some reason...it was HUMID too. high humidity inside + super excited crowd = icky sticky.
i bailed out near the end of the show (did not want to cow-tow outta there w/ all those sweaty kids?!) and told my friends to meet me at the Uptown Lounge across the street.
about 20 minutes later they joined me and we had one last toast to our co-worker james who just got promoted and is moving to mnpls this weekend to be an ADR. we wish him the best and can't wait to hear of his first winter in mnpls (he just moved here 5 mths ago from San Fran!??!).
frank, liz & i were hungry and we grabbed a quick bite at the mexican restaurant next to the green mill and then we walked home.
