spin
gonna try to go back to spin class. i went a few times earlier this year..and it was intense...an hour on the bike!! but the music and the pace does fly by. it's just getting throught the first 15 minutes that is the rough part. tonite they were going to mix it up a bit and had some "boxing" drills mixed in after two 15 minute sessions on the bike. figured it would be a good way "to get back on the bike". did kickboxing (just cardio...don't beat up anyone..yet) in my usual tues night class. just trying to take the workout up another notch for the winter season--especially since i won't be out walking as much as i do in the summer.

*although i will confess...and i honestly suggest everyone does this:
when we have that sunny day in december and it's in the 30's...layer up, put on the right jacket, hat & gloves, bring your walkman (or ipod--i'm not there yet)...and drive your car to the lakefront (you'll have no problem parking?!- i park by the boat harbor/recreation drive) and walk along the lakefront while listening to a favorite cd. what a fabulous, refreshing way to be alone and reflect the year...revitalizing. (this is great to do too if we have that freak break in weather in jan & feb too!!)
