2 weeks

phil and i had a great time together. we both have never spent so much time with someone-but agreed it was great and even better than our expectations. we learned so much about each other and grew closer as a result of all the time spent together. it really feels like a relationship now that we have "things" that we shared together.

some of the things we did together:
-rode bikes along the lakefront to the air & water show
-went to a very posh restaurant: TRU. (i was "escorted" to the bathroom??! thankfully not INTO though!??)
-cubs game
-village tap in roscoe village w/ many of friends
-drove up to lake geneva for a day trip (and phil wanted to get out of the city and see some "country"??)
- frank lloyd wright's home and studio
- picnic/movie in the park at the grant park w/ friends where phil cooked up some fabulous dishes!
- dinners & drinks w/ aisha and gus (who's wedding we met at & gus/phil are old childhood friends)
- millenium park walk
-dntn chicago shopping for my "purse" and sitting outside Ralph Lauren restaurant and watching practice runs for air show.
-watching LITTLE BRITAIN (We now quote this show constantly) phil had only seen an episode in the UK and everyone quotes it-so we caught an episode on BBC America and had to buy the DVD that week. pretty funny, sick & twisted stuff. Recommended for fans of Monty Python, The State, etc.

i am planning my trip to london in october. already got the OK from the boss to take a week off! (woohoo!). but wanted to check in and let everyone know that things went great and i'm so excited to go to London and meet his friends and FAMILY! (already spoke w/ MUM last week when he called her).

although i miss phil (i actually woke up last night and got out of my bed and was looking for him in the middle of the night...!?) i feel great about us and just staying positive and finding comfort in that i've found someone so genuine and special to me. i am lucky in so many ways...not only w/ phil, but to be surrounded by so many great friends & family. Cheers!
